We make limited drops in small numbers, and we stand behind every piece that leaves us. The brand is unofficial — our standards aren't. If something isn't right, here's exactly how we make it right.
This policy applies to orders placed at theunofficialbrand.com. By placing an order you agree to the terms below.
the basics
You have 14 days from the delivery date to request a return or exchange on eligible items. Requests made after 14 days can't be accepted.
To be eligible, the item must be:
- Unworn, unwashed, and undamaged
- In its original condition with all tags, patches, and labels attached
- Returned with proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
We inspect every returned item on arrival. Items that show signs of wear, washing, odor, or damage will be sent back to you and won't be refunded or exchanged.
what you can return
Standard Drop collection items (e.g. Drop 001 World Cup Edition) are eligible for exchange or refund within the 14-day window, as long as they meet the conditions above.
We recommend an exchange as the first option, especially for sizing. Our drops are produced in limited quantities, so exchanging keeps your size in play and gets you the piece you wanted faster than a refund-and-reorder.
what you can't return
The following are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded, except where they arrive defective or incorrect (see below):
- Custom uniforms, team kits, and any made-to-order production. These are produced specifically for your order and can't be resold.
- Personalized items — anything with a custom name, number, patch, finishing time, or other personalization.
- Items marked "final sale" on their product page.
- Gift cards.
By approving a custom or personalized order, you confirm all details (sizes, quantities, names, numbers, artwork) are correct. We produce exactly what's approved.
defective, damaged, or wrong items
If your order arrives defective, damaged in transit, or isn't what you ordered, that's on us — and we cover everything.
Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue (and the packaging if it was damaged in transit). We'll arrange a replacement or full refund, including any return shipping, at no cost to you.
This applies to custom and personalized items too: if we made an error in production, we fix it or refund it.
how to start a return
- Email wecare@theunofficialbrand.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
- We'll reply with approval and return instructions, including the return address.
- Ship the item back within 7 days of receiving approval.
Don't send anything back before you get a confirmation from us — returns received without prior approval may not be processed.
return shipping
- Change of mind, wrong size, or any non-defect reason: you cover return shipping, and we recommend a tracked method. We aren't responsible for returns lost in transit.
- Our error (defective, damaged, or wrong item): we cover it in full.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you to confirm. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take a few additional days to appear.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your refund and you still haven't received it, email us at hola@theunofficialbrand.com.
exchanges
To exchange for a different size or piece, follow the return steps above and tell us what you'd like instead. Exchanges depend on stock — our drops are limited, so if your size is sold out we'll issue a refund instead.
You cover the cost of shipping the new item to you on a standard (non-defect) exchange.
international & cross-border orders
For orders shipped outside the country of origin, you are responsible for return shipping costs and any customs duties or taxes on returned items. We recommend a tracked, insured service. Original duties and taxes are non-refundable.
order changes & cancellations
We move fast to get drops out. If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us immediately — we can only make changes before the order enters production or ships. Once an order ships, the return process above applies.
